The Second in The Iron Angel Series: Hottest Places In Hell
(Released August 2015)
“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, when faced with a moral dilemma, do nothing.” – Mis-cited by John F. Kennedy in a 1963 speech in Berlin
Joan, Duncan, and Kearney are fugitives who settled down in Phoenix with new identities unaware they are about to cross paths with ex-con Tito Orrozco. Tito is the self-appointed leader La Espada, The Sword, a conglomeration of drug lords, Mexicans, and discontented Mexican-Americans who are determined to reclaim the southwest United States for Mexico. During La Espada’s first incursion, Joan kills Tito’s brother, which plunges her into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and turns Tito’s war into a personal hunt for his brother’s killer. The government is preoccupied with keeping the budding economy growing, and the border states are strapped with debt. The eternal soldier, Duncan shoulders the responsibility of defending the country he loves. His attempt to right the wrongs around him will clash with Joan’s struggle to keep her life on an even keel.
